투명 물고기? ‘혈액 투명한’ 남극 물고기 발견
붉은 피’가 아닌 ‘투명한 혈액’을 가진 물고기가 해외 네티즌들 사이에서 화제다. 
과학 전문 매체 스켑티컬 매거진에 소개되면서 화제가 되고 있는 주인공은 남아프리카 희망봉에서 1,600km 떨어진 남극권에 위치한 부베섬에서 촬영된 것으로, 이 물고기의 혈액에는 헤모글로빈이 없다는 것이 언론의 설명.
즉 남극의 차가운 바닷물을 통해 공급되는 풍부한 산소 덕분에, 헤모글로빈 및 적혈구가 필요 없게 되었고, 이 같은 결과로 투명한 혈액을 가지게 되었다는 것이 과학자들의 추측.
‘아이스 피쉬’라는 이름의 이 물고기는 뱅어과에 속하는 종류라고 인터넷 백과 사전 위키피디아는 설명하고 있는데, 부베섬에서 이 같은 물고기가 다수 발견되었다고 언론은 설명했다.
